Rev. Eric Bothur
Eric Bothur has served as pastor of South Beltline Baptist church since 2008. He earned a bachelor and master's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Rutgers University, after which he enjoyed a long tenure at AT&T designing sales fulfillment and compensation programs. Eric moved to South Carolina in 1999 to complete his Master in Divinity degree at Columbia International University, where he met his wife Kristi.
He completed his Doctor of Ministry degree in 2007. He is passionate about biblical teaching that focuses on understanding and applying the Scriptures, and he has a heart for helping others realize their God-given potential through Bible-based discipleship.
Eric and Kristi have been married since 2002. Kristi is a former middle school teacher with Richland School District Two. They have two children, 15-year-old Lydia and 11-year-old Caleb, whom they enjoy seeing grow and learn new things every day, especially as they enjoy homeschooling together. They have lost five children prior to birth and have started a ministry called Naomi's Circle to help other parents struggling with the loss of a child in pregnancy or infancy.
In their spare time, you will find the Bothur family outside in the yard, park, or best yet, hiking in the mountains. They also enjoy learning about and using amateur radio. Eric's other great enjoyment is singing, leading, and playing music, which his children have a great love for as well.
